The release follows the success of the acclaimed single ‘TWENDE’ in April 2023, with the new single putting an end to Komanii’s year-long hiatus.
Bursting through the speakers, ‘HURRA’ holds nothing back in the way of pounding percussion and politically charged lyricism. The track has a relentless flow, cementing Komanii as a rising star in his field. Sporting an intrinsic groove, ‘HURRA’ shines with roaring synthesizers and an unforgiving bass drum. The single clocks may only clock in just shy of ninety seconds, but Komanii’s intrinsic artistry ensures that nothing is left out of this powerful liberty anthem.
‘HURRA’ takes a politically charged narrative with its support for liberation of the minorities worldwide. Speaking about the charged nature of the project, Komanii comments “From the river to the sea… Black and Brown Liberation is waiting”.
Komanii is a rapper and producer based in London, UK. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya he blends uncompromising storytelling with an authentic spirit throughout his artistry. Having lived around the world, Komanii started writing after a move to the USA before the release of his debut EP ‘Niko Tayari’ in 2018. Since then, he has moved from strength to strength collaborating with like-minded artists including Ayon Mukherji, Elrim and Troye Raustein.
