With “Hot Girl Summer” in full effect, Kash Doll joins in on the fun with the release of her new single. After dropping “Kitten” with Lil Wayne, the Detroit rapper reunites with Big Sean on the Take A Daytrip-laced “Ready Set.” The two previously connected on “So Good” off Sean and Metro Boomin’s Double Or Nothing project.
“It’s a celebration, hey / ‘Cause we made it out the basement, hey / Stay hungry, stay patient, hey,” raps Sean Don on the feel-good hook.
“‘Ready Set’ is motivational for all those that need to be reminded to never give up, but especially for my ladies still grinding and trying to figure it out,” said Kash Doll. “If I could make it out the basement, everyone has the power within themselves to make it as well.”
“It was only right I hit up Detroit legend Big Sean. I appreciate him for always showing me love. Coming from the same city, I watched how hard he worked and that inspired me so it was only fitting we did this song together.”
Sean and Kash Doll previously collaborated on the track ‘So Good‘ from the former’s joint album with Metro Boomin, Double or Nothin’.
