Kanye West Apologizes To Drake

Kanye West is apologizing to Drake and addressing their fallout. Taking to Twitter on Wednesday (Sept. 5), Mr. West extended an olive branch. “Sending good energy and love to Drake and family and crew,” he wrote alongside a photo of Drake’s stage from the “Aubrey and the Three Migos Tour.” “I haven’t seen the show in person but the images look incredible online I understand where the confusion started.”

He went on to apologize for “stepping on your release date in the first place,” a reference to Drake’s Scorpion June release and the back-to-back June releases for G.O.O.D. Music. “We were building a bond and working on music together including squashing the issues with Cudi at our office,” he continued.

Before boarding a plane, he admitted that he had been “a bit ramped up doing 25 tweets a day” and “TMZ happened shortly after.”

He revealed that the two spoke about collaborating on “Lift Yourself,” which Kanye released in April. “Because we spoke about doing Lift Yourself together I should have given you the opportunity for us to do this together before I released it,” he continued.

Pusha-T made reference to Drake’s “ghostwriter” Quentin Miller (“It was written like Nas, but it came from Quentin”) on Daytona‘s “Infrared,” which Kanye produced. “since we were building as friends and brothers I should have spoken to Pusha about the Quentin Miller bar,” said Ye. “There should have been no songs with my involvement that had any negative energy towards you.”

Prior to the release of Scorpion, Pusha-T dropped “The Story of Adidon,” on which he exposed Drake as a father. But many wondered if Kanye provided Pusha with the intel about Drake’s son. Drake reportedly played his song “March 14,” on which he confirms his son, for Kanye in Wyoming before the release of “Adidon.”

However, Kanye has denied providing Pusha with any ammo and claims he didn’t listen to either Pusha or Drake’s diss tracks. “I did not have any conversations about your child with Pusha,” he said. “I don’t play with the idea of people’s children after I spoke to Wiz a few years earlier.”

He also sympathized with Pusha, whose fiancée was mentioned on Drake’s “Duppy Freestyle” diss. “I understand Pusha’s issues as a man if someone mentions your fiancé men go mask off. I’ve done the same myself at times,” he said.

But he claims he still has love for both men and even plans to come to Drake’s show in the next week. “I love you and I love Pusha and we all have an admiration for each other’s craft,” he said. “This is all Jedi level. I will be coming to your show within the next seven days to give love and be inspired by the art you have created.”

West’s apology follows a theory that Drake had an affair with Kim Kardashian (the alleged “Kiki” on “In My Feelings”). However, Kim denied rumors that the two ever hooked up. “Never happened. End of story,” she wrote.
