Damon Steen, also know as Kush, an American rapper born and raised in Kansas City Kansas quickly learned at a young age he had a passion for music and wanted to pursue it.
In 2006 the artist gained the name Kush because Young Dro released an album titled “best thang smokin”. He then realized Dro wasn’t the best thang smoking at the time, Kush was.
As a 13 year old boy in the studio for the first time paid for by his aunt, which was located in some dudes garage. After hearing his voice on the final song he knew this would be a dream he would chase forever and the only direction is up.
Despite Kush’s skill being recognized so early, he’s been pursuing rap as a career and chasing his dream for quite sometime now. His style is truly one of a kind, as he uses his rugged voice and confidence persona to kick street stories / realize events with visions that most can only dream of. The song titled kushtron attained notable traction online and caught the attention of fans outside of Kansas City Kansas . The videos for the tracks from his latest projects is steaming up.
Kush’s momentum is just as steady as ever. Couple this with his first quarter collab tape with 2times and an upcoming project with his close friends and features will stay in fans’ headphones. He isn’t simply making it it’s heating up on his own terms, while also pushing to the forefront.
