Janiq Ignites the Scene with Fiery R&B-Pop Anthem “Cobra”

Making a name for herself with her fourth release of the year, Janiq is back with her latest single ‘Cobra’, a pop-tinged belter that’s crafted for a hot, sweaty club night. Having already received backing from the likes of Word Play and Mystic Sons, the London-based icon looks to cement herself as a creative newcomer that is not to be missed.

As a subtle guitar line draws the listener in, ‘Cobra’ soon unveils its lustful true colours, bringing the heat, fire, and finesse. Exploding into its chorus, brimming with flair, Janiq reinforces her unmatchable confidence with bold lyricism and a pumping backbeat. Penned about a passionate romance, the single navigates lust and hedonism, giving it all to the rhythm. ‘Cobra’ dances along as a contemporary pop anthem, fuelled by a rich R&B underbelly, giving it a darker, compelling edge, doubling down on her fearless approach to musicmaking.

Janiq comments, “It’s almost dangerous getting wrapped up in someone who has such a magnetic pull on you that time slows down when he touches you, you find yourself saying yes to whatever he suggests. You’re both locked in, dancing around the edges of uncertainty, but if it’s not playful, fiery and intoxicating, then I don’t want it.”

Hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, Janiq is a bold pop icon who moves with a silky pop finesse and cinematic style. Now lighting up London with her electric sound and too-hot-to-handle style, she has cemented herself as a rising star who commands attention. A former leading lady of London’s West End, she has cemented herself as a star of the stage with roles in The Lion King and Six The Musical, now looking to do it all over again with the release of her new music. Since the release of her debut single ‘My Vibe’ in 2022, Janiq has moved from strength to strength. Her releases celebrate love, sexiness, confidence, and unapologetic flirtation. Looking forward, she looks to release new music for Autumn 2025.
