J. Cole released a new song called “Snow on Tha Bluff” last night, which many assumed is about Chicago rapper Noname.
She previously called out “top selling rappers not even willing to put a tweet up” and said that “n****s whole discographies be about black plight and they no where to be found.”
Now, Cole has responsed to criticism of his lyrics by saying that he stands behind every word he wrote on the track. “Right or wrong I can’t say, but I can say it was honest,” he says. He also confirms that the song is about Noname, and gives her credit: “I love and honor her as a leader in these times.”
