Big Bo CEO has been quietly carving his lane in hip hop, blending authentic storytelling with high-energy Southern trap vibes that demand attention. With every track, he shows that rap is more than a hobby—it’s a mission, a platform, and a lifestyle. We sat down with Big Bo CEO to get an inside look at his creative process, influences, and what drives him to keep pushing, even when the odds were stacked against him.

When did you first realize rap was more than just a hobby for you, and what was the moment that made you say, “This is it”?

Once I noticed people felt my music instead of just hearing it. That’s when I knew it wasn’t a hobby—it was more of a purpose. I knew it was it when fans came in the picture.

When you’re writing, do you start with the beat, the lyrics, or a feeling you want to capture?

When I’m writing music I listen to the beat, I learn the beat, then I find what topic fits the beat and go from there.

Which artists or life experiences have shaped your style the most, and how can listeners hear that influence in your music?

People always say I have my own style, but I grew up liking LUDACRIS. Once you go back to his albums, you’ll hear how and why he motivated me.

If someone had never heard your music before, which one track should they start with, and why?

I will tell them to start with “Playa Music.” It gives both sides—R&B and rap in one—with hot lyrics. It brings energy. The song is a vibe.

What’s the hardest obstacle you’ve faced in your career, and how did you overcome it?

Believing in myself when nobody else really did. There were times I had the talent but not the resources, the support, or the right doors opening. Music became my way of pushing through that. Instead of quitting, I turned everything I was going through into fuel. Every song is me overcoming something.

You’ve probably lived through moments your fans don’t know about—what’s one personal story behind a song that changed how you see life or music?

One song that changed how I see life and music came from a time when I felt overlooked and doubted. I was putting in work, dropping music, staying consistent—but it felt like nobody was really paying attention. That’ll mess with you mentally if you let it. Instead of quitting, I went to the studio and put all that frustration into the record. I stopped trying to impress people and just spoke my truth.

How do you feel about the current state of hip hop, and where do you see yourself fitting into it?

I feel like hip hop right now is wide open. You got a lot of talent, a lot of different sounds, and artists are more independent than ever. But at the same time, a lot of it feels repetitive. Everybody chasing the same wave instead of creating their own. Where I fit in is bringing that hunger back. I’m coming with real Southern trap energy, real grind talk, real elevation music.

What’s the most misunderstood thing about you as an artist or person, and how does your music set the record straight?

The most misunderstood thing about me is that people think it’s all about money when they hear my music. It’s deeper than that. The grind represents growth, the hustle. My music sets the record straight because it shows the discipline and sacrifice behind the wins.

When people talk about you years from now, what do you want them to say about your impact on the culture?

Years from now, I want people to say Big Bo CEO stood for elevation—that he stayed solid, stayed independent, and showed that you can boss up without selling your soul. I want my impact to be bigger than music culture: mindset, ownership, elevation.

What’s coming up next that fans should be excited about—whether it’s music, performances, or collaborations?

More pressure. More visuals. More outside. I ain’t slowing down for nobody. New music on the way, heavy drops, and visuals that show the lifestyle for real—not staged, not industry polished. We outside working. Shows getting locked in, moves being made behind the scenes, and I’m stepping on everything that tried to step on me.

Big Bo CEO isn’t just making music—he’s crafting an experience, a mindset, and a movement. From raw energy in the studio to authentic stories that hit, he’s proof that talent and hustle combined create something unforgettable. Don’t sleep—go stream Big Bo’s music now and see for yourself why he’s one of the most electrifying independent voices in hip hop today.
