Hip-Hop fans have been anticipating the Dreamville compilation album Revenge of the Dreamers III since it was first announced back in January, With invitation being shared by artists, producers, and everything in between to join the Dreamville team in Atlanta to record, the excitement only increased as more names became attached to the process.
In what looked like a Hip-Hop fan’s dream come true with so much talent being in one area, it was only right that parts of the process were recorded and now available for us to see.
Announcing their REVENGE short film last week, the production now arrives in full. Featuring a bunch of familiar faces, and of course J. Cole himself, REVENGE takes us behind the scenes and shows us just how the magic of Revenge of the Dreamers III was created.
Directed by David Peters, REVENGE: A Dreamville Film take us into the recording sessions for Revenge of the Dreamers III and put the spotlight on Cole and other members of the Dreamville roster. A few familiar faces pop up in the short trailer seen above, including Bas, JID and the beautiful Ari Lennox amongst others.
Others who will expectedly appear on the LP also pop up in the clip, including Ski Mask the Slump God and Kenny Beats, so it’ll be really interesting to see how one of the most anticipated rap projects of 2019 came about from the perspective of those who actually made it.
