Drake has released “Quebec,” a track first previewed in his FOMO short film, with the song currently available through his official YouTube channel rather than a traditional DSP rollout.
Drake has made “Quebec” available as a standalone release after introducing the song inside FOMO earlier this month. Hypebeast reports that the track arrived alongside a batch of individual videos pulled from the larger visual project.
The FOMO short film originally presented “Quebec” as part of a longer run of music and visuals. Breaking the song out on its own gives listeners a direct way to revisit one of the project’s new cuts without returning to the full-length film.
The “Quebec” visual moves through Drake’s Toronto surroundings and highlights pieces from his jewelry, watch and clothing collections. The release turns one of FOMO’s previewed records into a standalone Drake track while keeping it connected to the wider film rollout.
That wider rollout has included several other separate clips and unreleased records connected to FOMO, including two new Don Toliver collaborations previewed through the project. “Quebec” is one of the clearest examples so far of Drake extending material from the film into individual song releases.
As of September 21, “Quebec” has not been released on Spotify or Apple Music, according to Hypebeast’s report on the rollout. For now, Drake’s official YouTube upload remains the verified streaming destination for the song.
