Damian Gatling, better known as DG Baggs, is a young artist from Houston, Texas. DG Baggs was greatly inspired by his father to become a musician. His father was born in The Bronx, New York, which is recognized as the place where hip-hop was born. It allowed him to gain firsthand experience of the culture and history of hip-hop. He was just eight years old; he realized he wanted to make his raps and found music his passion. He has a career as a producer, rapper, comedian, guitarist, radio host, and comedian who was a part of the scene for a lot of time performing guitar at local bars and in churches before making music on his own.
DG Baggs released his first album in 2018, titled “Bagg Life Empire,” before becoming a solo artist. In 2019, he released two tracks, “Mama Mi A” and “Toxic,” which he faced problems promoting due to the pandemic. In 2020 his radio program “The Quarantine Chronicles” went to the top of the charts and conducted interviews with celebrities like Laval Ball, David Banner, and J Prince.
DG Baggs is the producer of his music and talented musicians like Lil Kano, That Boy Slim, and Guillermo. He has unique music featuring timeless songs. His songs aim to create lyrics that make you repeat several times before finishing the track because they’re amazing.
