From Pottstown, Pennsylvania to the bright lights of NBA halftime shows, Cole Parkinson, better known by his stage name CPTime (Cole Parkinson Time), is proving that hip hop can uplift, inspire, and still go hard.
A clean hip hop and pop artist, CPTime has carved out his own lane—one built on faith, family, and positivity. His catalog is extensive: over 100 songs, three albums, and ten themed tracks dedicated to holidays and organizations. But beyond the numbers, it’s the mission behind the music that sets him apart.
“I want to have a positive impact on all kinds of people—old, young, black, white, male, or female,” he says. “I pride myself on faith in God, family, sports, and my music, and I want to continue to share that gift with others.”
That mission started humbly—in a college dorm room. What began as late-night freestyle sessions among friends evolved into something bigger once he set foot on stage. “When I got my own studio and first hit the stage, I was hooked,” he says. “I loved it ever since.”
Now, with over 100 live performances under his belt—ranging from showcases and opening acts to MC gigs at middle school dances and performances at rehab centers—CPTime has found his rhythm. Most recently, he’s brought his energy to the Philadelphia 76ers’ halftime shows, captivating crowds with his signature clean lyrics and infectious delivery.
But even with a growing fanbase and impressive track record, CPTime remains focused on growth. “The biggest challenge lately is getting my music to the right listeners and people in the industry who know what to do with it,” he admits. “I enjoy writing and recording so much, but I’ve had to learn to balance patience with persistence—to not rush the process, but trust that taking time can make something great.”
That mindset drives him daily. “I see myself taking this to the next level with consistency and faith,” he says. “I know I’m doing what I’m meant to—performing and recording music. I see myself in new cities, new studios, meeting new people who can help me move forward.”
For those new to CPTime, expect music with no profanity, real messages, and a ton of creative variety. Whether it’s a high-energy performance, a catchy pop-rap anthem, or a holiday-themed track, every song comes from a place of purpose.
“My goal is for people to know who I am and what I stand for,” he says. “Faith, family, and music. That’s what CPTime is all about.”
