Branching Montreal, Canadian artist Chef Rambo is at it again — Growing up in the Montreal borough, Chef was constantly exposed to musical ventures. Inspired by sibling Nate Husser, Rambo found himself more and more indulged in the music scene as time elapsed.
With last year’s release of his debut rap album ‘M.V.I.E’, the rapper shows us he’s more than capable of altering the scene musically worldwide. — This year he returns with ‘N.Y.L.R’ featuring none other than Nate Husser, Mike Shabb and Canadian pop artist Kid Riz.
With the entire album being nothing less than a “no skip project”, both Belligerent Ft. Nate Husser and Feel like Carti (Track 3 and 4) stand out immensely. With a cadence that cannot be duplicated, Chef Rambo continues to skyrocket in value and display why he doubles as such a valuable asset. The approach taken on Belligerent is both calm yet bold. Arrogant yet elegant — using words such as Belligerent to emphasize his message, it’s safe to say Chef has a rather wide variety of styles and or persona’s to share with his audience.
Feel like Carti carries a rather energetic and rageful approach, hence adopting the name Carti into the title. One thing for sure is we definitely do feel like Carti whenever this record plays. While successfully displaying Playboi Carti like energy, Chef Rambo created nothing less than a timeless classic in the process while still adhering to this generation’s wants. We hope to see a lot more of Chef Rambo this year, the release of ‘N.Y.L.R’ may encourage such.
