Cardi B took to Instagram to tell people to stop targeting Asian people over the coronavirus. She stated, “Let’s stop being xenophobic. Let’s stop saying f**ked up jokes. Let’s stop having crazy anger because I’ve been seeing a lot of Asians get beat up and all that sh*t.”
Since the spread of the coronavirus, there has been a spike in xenophobic and racist incidents targeted at Asian people, as the virus was traced back to China.
President Trump has also caught backlash for calling the coronavirus the “Chinese Virus,” which he defended as not being racist because the virus was traced back to China.
