Bodhi Z Brings the Heat on New Single “Exhibit Z”

Chicago native Bodhi Z is on a quest to create great music and search for enlightenment, and as of late, he’s doing both at the same time with great success.  He reaches higher heights with his latest track “Exhibit Z”, a scintillating cut that features three beat switches, boomy drums and some killer horns.  Bodhi enlisted longtime collaborator Bobby Beatz and close friends Looisey and Kennedy Sabin to help bring the track to life, and he even engineered, recorded and mixed by Bodhi Z himself.

Bodhi was inspired to write “Exhibit Z” by the fact that he “wanted to do more with [himself]” and tell a story through his work.

“In writing the verses, they all flowed seamlessly and ended up telling a bit of a story along with just being a dope song,” said Bodhi Z.

The song is split up into three distinct parts, each of which Bodhi came at from a different angle.

“In the first part, it’s the setup; me figuring out my own feelings and how it’s time for me to move forward in believing myself,” he said.  “The second portion is me talking my s**t, doubling down on how Bodhi has to go hard for Bodhi’s sake, and then the last portion is somewhat of a reflection.”

He was inspired to title the track “Exhibit Z” because he considers his computer to be an exhibit because, as he puts it, “I just have so much music and art on my computer.”  It’s a great mindset from a great artist, and only further proves the fact that he will not stop until he gets to where he wants to be.

As for his next moves, Bodhi Z is not going to be staying quiet.  He says that he will drop at least one project by the fall of this year, and hinted at the possibility of a second one not far behind that one.  He’s also staying local, as he should, because he’s got some “cool endeavors and events” he’s planning in Chicago that if you’re in town for, you shouldn’t miss.  Bodhi is all about trying to be the best version of himself, and it comes out in his music, especially “Exhibit Z”.  You may just find the best version of yourself with a little help from Chi-Town’s own Bodhi Z.
