The Dallas rapper’s fourth studio album brings an extensive guest lineup into his next hip-hop chapter.
BigXthaPlug has released BETTER OVER TIME on October 30, giving listeners 18 tracks across roughly 42 minutes. The album is available on Apple Music, with its recording credited to BigXthaPlug under exclusive license to UnitedMasters.
The project follows I Hope You’re Happy, his 2025 country-focused release, but puts rap back at the center of the conversation. That shift makes this more than another addition to his catalog: it places the artist who expanded into a different genre back alongside an especially varied group of rap and R&B collaborators.
Leon Thomas joins “NO LIMIT,” while GloRilla appears on “FAF” and Babyface Ray shares “BELIEVE” with Lil Yachty. The sequence also includes Loe Shimmy, Fridayy and Ro$ama, spreading the guest appearances throughout the album rather than concentrating them into one opening run.
Two familiar entry points remain in the tracklist: “LITE”, featuring Belly Gang Kushington, and “BURN” with Ava Max. BigXthaPlug’s own album-announcement reel framed the title around the pressures of being there for other people, adding a personal introduction to this next release.
The artwork turns the title into a visual idea, arranging faces from different stages of his earlier projects together. Rather than presenting the new record as a clean break, that design keeps his previous chapters in view while signaling another step forward.
The release also arrives after a hometown listening event and short-film screening in Dallas, where invited fans heard the project ahead of its public launch. With the complete album now available, the focus moves from those previews to the full sequence, which starts with “STAND ON BUSINESS” and closes with “ONE.”
