Ariana Grande has join forces with the Pittsburgh pop duo Social House on a new single called “boyfriend.” The collaboration grew out of the group’s time opening up for Grande on tour.
“Boyfriend” follows Ariana Grande’s 2019 collaborations with Victoria Monét (“MONOPOLY”) and 2 Chainz (“7 rings (Remix)” and “Rule the World”). She released thank u, next in February.
The single also arrives with a rom-com visual that features Grande getting into a catfight ala-Mean Girls (similar to the “thank u, next” video), firing an arrow dead center of another girl’s palm and shooting heart lasers out of her chest — all imaginary, of course, but out of her jealousy over a boyfriend who isn’t really.
Watch Ari shoot an arrow through a woman’s hand and lazers out of her bra in the vengeful rom-com visual below.
