Recently Alabama has become a state to find hard hitting hip hop artists. From Big Yavo to Yung Bleu, the state has definitely come up in the music industry. Meet GTB Kartel, a hip-hop group consisting of 2 brothers from Birmingham,Alabama.
The duo comes predominately from the east side born and raised. It was in this community where GTB Kartel was developed. GTB Kartel currently has two projects out on streaming platforms “Banopoly” and “Mass Up” are two projects tjay gained major attention. Accumulating over 500k streams and views in just a few months with singles like “Take 1”, “Just Got A Bag”, & “J.J. (No Hook). GTB Ball Hard is 5 years older than GTB Da Gasman so the stories are intriguingly different.
GTB Ball Hard started work on music in early teens and GTB Gas didn’t take to music until his early 20s both being influenced by there oldest brother. Growing up the pair had several passions including videos games, food, & sports. Sports was also a major interest for the two, accomplishing state placement accolades in wrestling in high school and also participating in other sports like track & field & football.
Over time Gasman and Ball Hard gained an interest that would ultimately change their lives. According to Gasman, “making good music is what we do!” The pair is currently pushing a record titled “Take 2”. This song features an insane word play over an extremely catchy beat.
