Kevin Meyer, a musician and recording artist from New York, became well-known for his live performances with other well-known musicians and for the famous drum credits contributed to his extended plays along with the producers and mix engineers that worked with so many greats, even some of Meyer’s inspiration. Meyer experienced mental health issues from an early age, struggled in school, and found it difficult to win his parents over.
The rebellious or outcast youngster was so passionate about music when he was young, but by the time he was 19, he knew he was headed for success. He gained fame by sharing the stage with a variety of MTV and Billboard artists, on their tours, festivals like the Vans Warped Tour, and Hot Topic meet and greets, By 2020, he had made an attempt on his own life at his Long Island home due to worsening mental health and suicidal impulses.
Fortunately, Meyer, who has become widely recognized for having survived suicide, has taken stock of his condition and turned the page to a business called SPPBKM, also known as Suicide Prevention Presented By Kevin Meyer. His website, www.spppbkm.com, which promotes social mental health and suicide prevention, is a resource for those in need of motivation, a forum for social interaction, advocacy support, references for assistance, and so much more.
Meyer, company SPPBKM has partnered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Obviously donations are needed but for Meyer it’s more about spreading awareness and creating more Advocacy through his site which features a gift shop, and free aways or freebies, for Signing Up for free to become a SPPBKM Advocate.
Meyer not only is contributing to the mental health world and suicide prevention through the company closely with AFSP but as well through his song writing and recording for his upcoming and future work “Detached” EP which will be advertised more at The Prelude to his Double Album mixing elements of his natural sound with Hip-Hop, Rap-Rock, and some Pop-Punk with Trap beats underneath them. He has already gone public that he will be working with Hip Hop mix engineer Mike Bona whos credits include but are not limited to Legends and OGs such as Public Enemy, B.I.G Notorious on the 2Pac Juice Soundtrack,
Eminem, Redman, Nas, Busta Rhymes, and even worked with female artists such as Maria Carey and received R.I.A.A Gold, Cardi B, Joan Jett, and many more recordings and mixes at the engineer Mike Bona at his Long Island Famous Studio The Mix Palace. Meyer’s origin and debut was based in Long Island, NY as well and has known Bona sinced the age 17, and now he feels chemistry and Mike is the perfect man for the job, for all of Meyer’s work which can be labeled a saga since theres a prelude EP followed by a double album LP with his upcoming releases where they are blending genres and sub genres.
