Ross Taxin and DJ Evil Empire (formerly on Young Money/Cash Money Records) link up on some new visuals for “South African Plug” and it’s definitely a movie. With the rappers hard bars and over-the-top punchlines, there’s no doubt at all Ross Taxin is bringing a new, refreshing sound to the Atlanta music scene.
The video starts with about $20,000 right in the viewers face, just to let them know Ross is not playing! When asked about the video, Ross told us:
“They tried to put me away and take my life on little charges, but I showed them, they couldn’t hold me down”.
Referencing his 18 month incarceration sentence back in 2018 for “possession w/ intent to distribute 5 different drugs”, these visuals are basically a big slap in the face to those who locked him away, keeping him away from doing what he was meant to do with his life.
You can see Ross, flexing some big racks and walking through the streets of Downtown Fayetteville. Bar for bar, word for word, letting his audience know exactly what he’s about and what he came to do in this game.
The visuals were actually edited by well-known international video production team “Spacehrts” which have worked with and directed various visuals for other artists popping in the music scene like Baby $antana, Ka$hDami, Sahbabii, etc.
All in all, the visuals and the actual song are a bop. Great record, and astounding visuals to compliment. Be sure to check out Ross Flexin and his other video “$1,750” which is also out right now.
