Tell us about you:
I go by Frenzie. I’m a 16 year old music producer from Minnesota. I love music because of the feeling I get from producing. I can always use music as an escape from the world for a short amount of time. This is why I started music in the first place. Whether I was feeling angry, sad, or happy I could always copy that emotion into my keyboard to make a song and end up feeling better than when I started. The style of music I make integrates every single genre into one using solely drums.
This is because of the use of samples and drums in trap music. You can take a classical sample and turn it into a hit drill beat for artists like Fivio Foreign or DUSTY LOCANE. You could take an electronic sample and give it to an artist like Playboi Carti or Trippie Redd. You can even take no samples and use strictly drums to make a beat for Ski Mask the Slump God. The amount of area that trap beats can cover in the music industry is unmatched by any other genre of music, which is why I feel such a strong connection with it.
The people who influence me to better my craft aren’t necessarily even other producers. Yes I’m influenced by the Internet Money Label just like every other producer, but I also get my inspiration from listening to certain artists styles like Lil Tecca and Fresco Trey. What makes me different than other producers is my ability to learn quicker and be more versatile with the music I create.
Since I’m going on almost 4 years producing music, I’m able to understand the use of plugins and the DAW I use much easier than other producers can. I’m also very easily coached by producers who are much more experienced than I am. This puts me in a middle spot that can be very useful to an artist.
In 5 years I see myself finishing a degree in music technology/music industry and making my way towards a successful future. I do plan on going to a 4-year college to further broaden my understanding of music and the industry I want to spend my time in. I am grinding day in and day out to be able to afford that kind of step in my career. With this degree moving forward I plan on working with major artists as well as possibly becoming an executive producer.
What I bring to the music world is a future for young artists just like me. Showing that a person of my age can be successful in the industry could provide motivation for others like me to succeed. Being a staple for a young generation that seems to lack some motivation would be an opportunity I’d be more than willing to take. Because of my age and experience, I also provide myself as an extremely useful investment, given the fact that I can only excel from here on out. I have worked with multiple artists who are satisfied by the work we have made together.
I want to be remembered by artists as an easy to work with, talented music producer. I want to be known as the guy that artists can go to no matter what style beat they need because I can provide them with quality work they can use to succeed. I hope that at some point some big exec in the industry will notice my work, but so does everyone else. I keep a “stay down til you come up mindset,” so until that day comes I keep pushing with smaller artists and collabing with other producers.
