Kanye West Takes Aim at Drake on New Leaked Song 'Wait for God': Listen

Just when you thought Kanye and Drake‘s beef had simmered down. A new track from Kanye West titled ‘Wait for God’ has surfaced online where he’s name dropping Drake in a not-so-positive light.

The slow-tempo song finds the rapper and hip-hop mogul talking rather than spitting his bars. At one point, he can even be heard dissing his nemesis Drake.

In the first verse of the song, Kanye appears to poke fun at the fact that they are living in the same neighborhood despite being at odds with each other. “He funny though/ He gon’ move the No. 1 rapper four blocks down the street for me/ You funny, God,” he raps in the song, before name-dropping the Canadian rapper in the next verse.

Recalling the time he met a Drake look-alike, the Yeezy founder says, “I seen a tall, light-skinned dude with a beard and s**t/ I said, ‘That look like Drake right there.’/ But he was like on a skateboard/ I said, ‘I know that ain’t gon’ be Drake on a skateboard.’ ” He goes on rapping, “I said on my first album, I’ma make sure light-skinned n***s never come back in style.”

Back in October, a snippet leaked where Kanye was rapping about Drake and Pusha T: “…like J. Cole, damn, my own city turned they back on me, they thought I told Push about Drake’s son, God damn.”

Last year, Drake said he was uninterested in squashing his feuds with Kanye West and Pusha T in an interview on Elliott Wilson and Brian “B.Dot” Miller’s Rap Radar podcast, via Tidal.

The Toronto rapper is now working on his next album, which is expected to feature a collaboration with Chris Brown. “He’s also on my album as well,” Drizzy told TIDAL’s “Rap Radar” podcast. “I don’t know what’s gonna make the album yet, but we have done more music together.”
