Richton Park, Illinois, rapper and producer Frank Vibes continues to push beyond conventional hip-hop boundaries with The Black Urameshi 2, the latest installment in an album series rooted in experimentation, self-discovery, and uncompromising creativity. With two decades of music-making experience, Frank has developed a distinctive sound that fuses hip-hop with blues, jazz, industrial textures, and rock, creating a musical identity that defies genre limitations.
Drawing inspiration from alternative artists such as Gorillaz and Steve Lacy, particularly their innovative musical arrangements, Frank approaches The Black Urameshi 2 with a diverse sonic palette and an anime-inspired aesthetic. The project explores themes of revolution and self-actualization, reflecting his desire to challenge expectations, expand artistic boundaries, and encourage listeners to think differently.
The album continues a creative series that includes The Black Urameshi and Ken’Kai’s Cave. Producer Vinnie Murphy, also known as Wilderness Bounty Hunters, returns to handle production, sustaining a collaborative partnership that has helped shape the series’ distinctive sound.
Collaboration remains central to Frank’s artistic vision. Through his collective, JustUs Entertainment, he brings together fellow members Other Mike and Ken’Triana, both featured on the album. Broadway joins Frank and Vinnie Murphy as an executive producer, further strengthening the team’s creative foundation. Beyond the music, the collective works together on music-video concepts, with additional visuals planned to complement the release.
Frank’s independent mindset is equally important to his journey. While he remains open to the right record-label opportunity, he is firm about maintaining ownership of his work and complete creative control. With the support of his collective, family, and fraternity brothers from Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated, he continues to build his career on his own terms.

Having performed for hundreds of people and opened for legendary hip-hop group ONYX, Frank is now looking toward international opportunities. Tokyo is among his aspirations, a city whose vibrant anime culture could provide a natural connection with his anime-influenced artistry. He is also preparing for his next release, an EP planned for Valentine’s Day 2027.
For Frank Vibes, the mission extends far beyond a single album. His vision is to create lasting music, perform around the world, and establish a legacy grounded in originality and artistic freedom. With The Black Urameshi 2, he continues to carve out a space where diverse influences, independent thinking, and creative experimentation converge.
