After teasing its upcoming Air Jordan VIII “Quai 54” just weeks ago, Nike has now revealed the details surrounding the shoe’s upcoming release. The new take on the iconic Michael Jordan sneaker offers an ode to the iconic Paris-based streetball tournament that is held every year, highlighting the sport of basketball and its long-standing connection with hip-hop culture.
The Air Jordan VIII made its debut during MJ’s “three-peat” 1992–93 championship season. The Air Jordan VIII Retro Q54 features the same moulded details, multiple straps and cushioned comfort that quickly established the original as a fan favourite.
Leather and textile in the upper deliver durable support and comfort. Nike Air unit in the heel provides lightweight, responsive cushioning. Forefoot and ankle straps add stability and secure the fit. Rubber outsole provides traction on a variety of surfaces.
