The British rapper’s sixth album brings a seven-year wait for a new solo full-length to an end.
Skepta has released The Fork and Knife, his first solo album since 2019’s Ignorance Is Bliss. The project arrived November 6 through Big Smoke Records and Epic Records.
Apple Music lists 15 songs running 55 minutes. That makes the record a substantial return after the singles that led into its release.
The collaborators stretch beyond one regional scene. Aya Nakamura appears on “Chippie,” Asake on “Aloe Vera,” and Project Pat on “Cold Shower,” bringing distinct musical backgrounds into the album.
“Innocent Smile” joins Skepta with Chase & Status and Madness singer Suggs. The track addresses hostility toward immigrants, placing a political argument within the record’s broader exploration of identity.
The album also arrives after “Pandora’s Box” introduced its reflective direction. Across the full project, Skepta considers masculinity, addiction and his experience as the British son of Nigerian immigrants.
The closing “Belly” runs eight minutes and includes fellow Boy Better Know members Jme and Frisco. Its extended format gives the album a closing connection to the grime community from which Skepta emerged.
