The YBNL rapper opens his next album campaign with a new visual directed by TG Omori.
Olamide has released the “Burukutu” music video, bringing TG Omori behind the camera for the latest step toward his forthcoming album, Time & Space. The song and visual arrived on October 20 through YBNL, with the label confirming the album connection in its release announcement.
The visual places Olamide in a double-breasted suit and dark sunglasses inside a glowing red corridor, then shifts to dancers dressed in white in an earth-toned courtyard. It also includes scenes of the rapper holding a saxophone, giving Omori’s presentation a different visual texture from the sharply lit interior sequences.
The title refers to a traditional fermented-grain drink enjoyed in parts of Nigeria, tying the release to a familiar cultural reference. As Echonews reports, the song focuses on celebration and leisure, with Olamide’s Yoruba-inflected delivery carrying its party-minded subject.
Time & Space follows his self-titled 2025 album, Olamidé, which arrived in June with 17 tracks. That project brought together guests including Wizkid, Seyi Vibez, Asake, Young Jonn and Darkoo, while “Burukutu” now introduces the next full-length chapter.
The new rollout continues an active run of projects rather than a long break between albums. Unruly arrived in August 2023, followed by the seven-track Ikigai / 生き甲斐, Vol. 1 in June 2024 and the self-titled release a year later.
Olamide also has a major live date ahead: London’s O2 arena on March 25, 2027. The venue confirms the headline show and says special guests will be announced, giving the new album campaign a substantial London performance to build toward.
