The Detroit rapper’s latest single connects his forthcoming 12-track project with a renewed commitment to independent ownership.
For Big Bank Homie, “NightCrawler” is the opening move in a larger chapter. Released on July 24, 2026, the single leads into Free Dymook, a completed 12-track project, as the Detroit artist develops the business around his music through Big Bank Music Group Inc. (BBMG).
The release follows “Star Struck,” “Over Love,” “Never Again” and “Cold World,” adding another entry to a catalog built across different stages of his career. “NightCrawler” also introduces the darker, cinematic direction of the current campaign, a mood reflected in its shadowy cover artwork. Further announcements about Free Dymook and the label’s plans are still to come.
His path began well before this rollout, with an early chapter connected to the Animal Planet and Mo Thugs era and a reported 10-week winning streak on Detroit’s Hot 107.5 Freestyle Friday. Regional touring with DJ Collision helped extend that experience beyond the local circuit, bringing live performances and relationships across the Midwest.
By January 2019, Big Bank Homie was announced on a Detroit concert bill headlined by Jacquees at the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts. Working on the organizational and promotional side of live events also gave him a broader view of the business, pairing experience onstage with the practical work of bringing a show together.
That progress has not been uninterrupted. Periods of incarceration disrupted his career, and his subsequent returns sharpened his focus on consistency, independence and ownership. Rather than treating another release as the entire goal, he is now building a company intended to support a sustained body of work.
Founded and led by Big Bank Homie, Detroit-based BBMG is developing its approach to music distribution, artist development, live entertainment, promotional campaigns, media relationships and community engagement. The ambition reaches beyond his own catalog: a sustainable independent enterprise that can create opportunities for other artists while contributing to Detroit’s tradition of self-directed music businesses.
The “NightCrawler” campaign is taking shape through radio submissions and audience outreach. PDX Radio has accepted the record for rotation processing and received the final master, while Big Bank Homie advanced to the public-voting stage of Detroit HOT 107.5’s FREE Community Concert opportunity. Those steps mark progress in the campaign, rather than confirmation of an on-air rotation slot or a concert booking.
“NightCrawler” is available now on major digital streaming platforms, including Spotify. Follow Big Bank Homie on Instagram at @bigbank_homie for updates.
