The duo’s take on Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” has arrived on streaming as part of Drake’s expanded HABIBTI release.
Drake and Don Toliver have officially released “Solar Eclipse,” giving their previously previewed collaboration a title and a home on HABIBTI (FOMO). The song arrived on October 2, 2026, among four additions drawn from Drake’s Fear of Missing Out film.
Its connection to Ella Langley is central to the record. As The FADER reports, “Solar Eclipse” reworks her “Choosin’ Texas,” carrying the country song’s Texas setting into a new recording credited to Drake and Toliver.
Drake makes that setting specific in his writing, referencing College Station, River Oaks, Sugar Land, Pearland and The Woodlands. Those place names surround a story of attraction and romantic uncertainty, while the chorus changes the original song’s perspective to focus on a woman from Texas.
Don Toliver adds his own local connection with a reference to Fort Bend County. His presence makes the Texas thread more than a borrowed refrain, bringing another perspective to a song already crowded with details from the state’s social and geographic landscape.
The pair’s FOMO collaborations were previewed in September, ahead of this streaming release. Toliver also appears with Yebba on “Cold Shoulder,” making him a recurring collaborator across the new material rather than a one-song guest.
Listen to “Solar Eclipse” on Apple Music or Spotify. The 3-minute, 38-second track joins “Quebec,” “Cold Shoulder” and “Classic PT2” in the latest expansion of HABIBTI.
