Sports broadcaster Emily Austin traded ringside duties for the Venice red carpet, stepping out in a sparkling pale blue look for the “Furies” premiere.

Emily Austin attended the “Furies” screening at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival on Sept. 4 at Sala Giardino in Venice, Italy. The 25-year-old broadcaster wore a pale blue Caroline’s Couture gown with Chopard jewelry for the festival appearance, according to Complex.

Austin shared photos from the evening on Instagram, calling it “A magical night on the red carpet with FURIES at the Venice Film Festival ✨🎬.” The appearance put a fashion-forward spotlight on a broadcaster better known recently for her work around boxing and other major sporting events.

“Furies” is directed by Rami Kodeih and stars Maria Nakouzi, Rym Mroue, Hasan Akil and Issam Bou Khaled. The Lebanese-Brazilian film centers on two sisters who plan a bank heist after Lebanon’s financial collapse freezes their savings and leaves them unable to access money needed for a life-saving procedure.

George Clooney and Grant Heslov, who serve as executive producers on the film, also attended the Venice screening alongside Kodeih and members of the cast. The premiere gave Austin a high-profile stop outside the sports circuit while placing her among the film industry figures gathering on the Lido for the festival.

Austin has spent much of 2026 expanding her presence in boxing coverage. She worked with DAZN during Anthony Joshua’s July comeback in Saudi Arabia and later joined Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions for Amanda Serrano’s Aug. 21 title fight against Lucrecia Manzur.

She has also continued discussing the sport on The Emily Austin Show, including past conversations with Ryan Garcia. Her Venice appearance showed a different side of that growing media profile, moving from boxing broadcasts to one of the film calendar’s most visible red carpets.
