The Memphis rapper’s Halloween tribute moved from a solo Ciara-inspired portrait to a couple’s recreation of a familiar 2005 video scene.
GloRilla revisited Ciara’s early career for Halloween, sharing a Goodies-inspired look before bringing Brandon Ingram into a second tribute. The October 30 posts connected an instantly recognizable pink outfit with the video for “Like You.”
For the first look, GloRilla wore a pink hoodie, long hair and a cross necklace, drawing directly on Ciara’s 2004-era imagery. It was a focused recreation rather than a costume that relied on a caption alone to establish its reference.
XXL reported that the next reveal featured Ingram as Bow Wow, opposite GloRilla’s Ciara. The pair reenacted the elevator scene from the 2005 “Like You” video, matching the original performers’ tiger-graphic Ed Hardy shirts.
The reference reaches back to Bow Wow’s Wanted era. The original video cast him and Ciara as neighbors, using their apartment building and elevator encounters to frame the song’s romantic storyline, which made the setting as important to this recreation as the outfits.
The tribute also follows an earlier exchange between the artists: Ciara dressed as GloRilla in 2024, recreating her appearance in a Speedy Morman interview. Their connection extends to music as well, with GloRilla appearing on the 2022 remix of Ciara’s “Better Thangs.”
By pairing a recognizable solo image with a two-person video scene, GloRilla gave the homage two distinct forms. The result celebrated Ciara’s early R&B identity while bringing Ingram into the performance, turning the Halloween reveal into a miniature recreation rather than a simple matching costume.
