Lil Pump made his feelings about Vladimir Putin unmistakable after a major Moscow show, praising the Russian president as he left the venue.
Lil Pump publicly voiced support for Vladimir Putin after performing at Moscow’s VK Stadium on Saturday, August 22. Speaking as he was leaving the venue, the Florida rapper told reporters, “I love Putin. God bless Putin.”
The statement followed what organizers billed as Lil Pump’s first large solo concert in Russia. The show at VK Stadium featured material from across his career, and Russian reports said he interacted closely with the crowd during the performance, including moving into the fan area while performing “Boss.”
His remarks were consistent with the enthusiasm he had shown for Russia in the days surrounding the concert. Before the show, Lil Pump visited Moscow’s Red Square and shared a photo from the landmark with the caption “Russia is amazing.” He had also described Russia as his favorite country among the places where he has performed.
Lil Pump’s latest Moscow appearance was not his first trip to Russia. He performed in the city in June 2025 alongside Smokepurpp and Richie Wess after Offset was unable to make the event, and he said at the time that he appreciated the reception he received from Russian fans.
The Putin declaration adds an explicitly political note to that relationship. Putin has served as Russia’s president during the country’s ongoing war against Ukraine, making praise from a prominent American entertainer especially notable amid continued international tensions surrounding Russia.
Lil Pump, whose real name is Gazzy Garcia, broke through during the SoundCloud rap era and became a mainstream star with “Gucci Gang,” which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. His self-titled 2017 debut album also peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, while his later Kanye West collaboration “I Love It” became another major hit.
