Yung Miami says she has moved past her dispute with Tyla over “Chanel,” while acknowledging the singer has continued showing support for her music.
Yung Miami has addressed where things stand with Tyla after the pair became linked to a public dispute over “Chanel”. Speaking with Complex’s Jordan Rose, the Miami rapper said she and Tyla have not discussed the situation directly since it unfolded, but made clear that she is no longer dwelling on it.
The tension began in October 2025, when Yung Miami accused Tyla of taking the idea behind her unreleased song “Take Me to Chanel” after Miami said she had previously played music for the South African star. Tyla later denied intentionally taking Miami’s concept, explaining during an appearance on Quen Blackwell’s “Feeding Starving Celebrities” that her own “Chanel” came to her months later through songwriter Bibi Bourelly.

Asked by Rose whether she had spoken with Tyla since the controversy, Miami said, “We haven’t had a chance. I never spoke to her after that. We’ve never spoken at all. The situation was what the situation was, and that’s just what it was. I moved on.” The exchange was shared by Complex Music.
Tyla’s earlier explanation also struck a conciliatory tone. She said she understood why Miami could have questioned the similarities, but insisted she would not risk her career by deliberately taking another artist’s work. Bourelly separately pushed back on the accusation, saying neither the song nor its concept was inspired by someone else’s material.
Miami also noted that Tyla has remained supportive of her music despite the disagreement. When Rose mentioned Tyla showing love to “Spend Dat”, Miami replied, “Oh, I’m sure she does. I’m not even saying in a shady way. She did a TikTok to ‘Tea Time.’ I mean, she’s been very supportive.”
The latest comments suggest the dispute has cooled considerably even without a private conversation between the two artists. Rather than reopening the argument over how “Chanel” came together, Yung Miami’s response framed the episode as something she has put behind her while recognizing Tyla’s public support.
