The dispute began when White compared Latto’s relationship with 21 Savage to the criticism surrounding boxer Claressa Shields and Papoose. Shields has faced considerable online backlash for dating Papoose while his divorce from Remy Ma reportedly remains unfinished. White argued that Latto had received more favorable treatment despite longstanding rumors claiming that 21 Savage was married when their relationship began.
White also claimed that colorism influenced the different reactions toward Latto and Shields.
