Recently, we had the opportunity to sit down with musician Yung MaunRoe. Here’s how that interview went!
What’s the name of your new single/album/EP?
“Love Variant”
What inspired this project?
“How much of a negative and positive impact love can have on your life”
Is there a story or message behind the lyrics?
“Each song is different, usually every song spawns from what has happened or is happening in my life”
How does this release differ from your previous work?
“My previous work was not planned nor did I put the actual time into creating projects with precision like I should have”
Who did you work with on the production, mixing, or writing?
“I did all of it alone”
Where was it recorded, and what was the recording process like?
“It was recorded in a home studio in the capitol of Nebraska ran by me! The process is always fun and smooth! It’s only tense when we need to lock in and get work done!”
What genre would you describe this release as, and why?
“2017 Era Rap”
Do you have a favorite track from the project? Why?
“My favorite track from the project has to be either Mollis or Superficial. Mollis gave me a key to a new sound I have never had before and it felt special to lay that song down! Superficial was probably the most magical because it was one of the first times I made a track with a female artist, seeing how the mixing and the harmonization works was a fun process”
