Yohanson is a rising artist out of New Jersey who has been surrounded by music for as long as he can remember. Singing and dancing came naturally to him as a kid, but he did not begin to take the craft seriously until he was 21. What started as a childhood passion grew into a way of life, a way to channel the healing power of music into something real and lasting.
He describes himself as eclectic, and his music proves it. Yohanson moves freely between rap, rock, pop, alternative, and horrorcore. For him, life is not one note, so his sound cannot be either. Some tracks are moody and melodic love songs while others are pure hype, built for nights of energy and release. Much of his work comes from freestyling, flowing straight from gut feeling to the mic. If he feels something, he creates something, and that energy is captured in every session.
His inspirations range from the raw emotion of XXXTentacion and Lil Peep, to the futuristic sound of Future, to the darker edge of $uicideboy$. These artists helped shape the lens through which he views music, but his own vision is clear and unique.
In his words, the journey is only just beginning. Yohanson recently released his debut album, All My Friends Are Ghosts, a 31 track project that demanded everything he had to give. It is more than just a collection of songs, it is a story told through blood, sweat, and tears.
So far, one of his proudest career moments was opening for D Savage in Tampa, a performance that solidified his belief that music was not only his passion but his purpose. Since then he has continued to experiment, creating songs that refuse to fit into one box. His most recent singles include Liquid Sunshine, a playful EDM and rap party anthem, and One In Da Head, a hard hitting horrorcore track.
What’s Next
Yohanson is not slowing down. With more singles on the way, he is preparing to roll out his next major project. His upcoming release More Freestyle promises to be a rock, pop, and EDM fusion that captures the high energy of his live performances. Dropping later this month, it will showcase the same eclectic spirit that makes him impossible to categorize. Yohanson is only just getting started, and his story is unfolding one powerful track at a time.
