Ye has put the unreleased Yeezy 800 directly into Ian Connor’s hands, giving the longtime fashion collaborator an early pair months before the sneaker’s planned holiday rollout.
Ye gifted Ian Connor a pair of Yeezy 800 sneakers after the two recently linked up, with photos circulating on social media showing Connor alongside Ye before a fresh pair of the unreleased shoes appeared out of the box. The moment offers another close look at a model that has quickly become one of the most closely watched pieces in Yeezy’s latest independent footwear push.
The Yeezy 800 was first previewed by Ye earlier in August as an all-black low-top with a chunky retro-running profile. Its upper mixes layered mesh with textured panels and darker overlays, while the bulky sole keeps the same rough, utilitarian visual language that has defined much of Ye’s recent footwear work.
The sneaker is currently expected to arrive in December 2026, according to WWD, though final pricing has not yet been publicly confirmed. The timing would place the 800 among Yeezy’s most significant new footwear releases since Ye rebuilt the brand outside of his former adidas partnership.

Connor getting an early pair also fits a long history between the two in fashion. He was closely associated with Yeezy during the brand’s earlier runway years and has repeatedly been seen in unreleased Yeezy footwear, making the new 800 sighting another chapter in a creative relationship that stretches back more than a decade.
Ye has been steadily expanding the Yeezy 800 rollout beyond its original black preview, with additional colorways and new footwear concepts surfacing throughout August. The numbered name also recalls the system used for some of Yeezy’s best-known adidas-era models, while the new version is being developed under Ye’s independent Yeezy operation.
For now, Connor’s pair remains an early look rather than a retail release. With December approaching and more Yeezy footwear continuing to surface, the 800 is shaping up to be a central part of the brand’s next product cycle.
