Fabolous says ignoring a one-piece warning on an Amsterdam weed cake turned an ordinary tattoo session into a story he still remembers years later.
Fabolous recently looked back on the Amsterdam weed cake experience while speaking on Let’s Rap About It, recalling a tour stop where a tattoo artist was working on several members of his traveling crew. According to Complex, the Brooklyn rapper said he was advised to eat only one corner of the edible, but decided to have three instead.
“Amsterdam used to have the weed cakes,” Fabolous recalled. “So they were saying, ‘Yo, you’re supposed to eat a corner of the weed cake.’ But I ate like three corners.” That decision quickly caught up with him once the tattoo session got underway.
Fab said he put on headphones and listened to music from his iPod while the artist worked. As the edible took effect, he became intensely focused on The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Long Kiss Goodnight,” joking that he thought he played the track “like 175 times” because it had him in a trance.
The rapper eventually became so locked in that he did not notice the tattoo artist had finished. “I didn’t even know when he finished the tattoo,” he said. “I’m still just standing there holding my arm out. I was so high off this edible.”
The Amsterdam memory fits naturally into the tattoo conversations that have surfaced around Let’s Rap About It, the show Fabolous hosts alongside Jim Jones, Maino and Dave East. Earlier in 2026, the group devoted an episode to sneakers and tattoo culture, including a back-and-forth over the idea of matching tattoos.
For Fabolous, the weed cake story also offered a reminder of how unpredictable edibles can feel when someone takes more than advised. His version of the lesson was simple: three corners left him standing in place long after the tattoo was already done.
