YawnyBlew and amir., two dynamic and innovative queer artists, have teamed up with ALIBI Music to release their second album, Bouncy ‘n’ Pretty, an eclectic blend of hip-hop, pop, dance, R&B, and drill. The album not only showcases the duo’s creative versatility but also highlights marginalized voices, celebrating themes of queer love, body positivity, and self-empowerment. Bouncy ‘n’ Pretty builds on the success of YawnyBlew and amir.’s 2023 project, DREAMBIIG, and pushes musical boundaries with a collection of genre-bending tracks created with sync and licensing in mind. Drawing inspiration from artists like Lizzo and Leikeli 47, along with the cutting-edge music supervision of shows like Broad City and Insecure, YawnyBlew and amir. have crafted a body of work that is authentic and bold.
“Being able to craft something especially for sync and licensing was a dream come true, so we were thrilled when ALIBI Music reached out to collaborate,” said YawnyBlew, a Grammy and NME-nominated artist.
The album’s title track and first single, “Bouncy ‘n’ Pretty,” is a vibrant rap/pop anthem filled with confidence and swagger. “If you need a bop, just hit me,” the duo declares on the hook, emphasizing their ambition to create hits that resonate across multiple platforms. The second single, “FYL,” blends R&B and drill, delivering a playful send-off to a toxic relationship, embodying the project’s message of authenticity and resilience.

Meanwhile, amir. brings an impressive background as a world-renowned photographer and creative director, having worked with CupcakKe, Azealia Banks, and Diana Gordon, among others. His work has appeared in GQ France and Teen Vogue, and he transitioned into producing and performing during the pandemic.
