A white woman was filmed trying to call the police on a black man after she was asked by the man to put her dog on a leash. The incident has gone viral since being posted, and now it appears the backlash may have caused the woman—Amy Cooper her job.
Amy Cooper was put on administrative leave by her job, and now Franklin Templeton Investments has revealed that they fired Cooper.
The company issued a statement saying, “Following our internal review of the incident in Central Park [Monday], we have made the decision to terminate the employee involved, effective immediately. We do not tolerate racism of any kind at Franklin Templeton.”
