Having made a stellar reputation for his unique flow and punchlines, Smoove Desi is on the rise and he is everything that you would expect an artist to be. “Life is unpredictable man, you got to enjoy every moment. Live in the moment and do what you have been gifted by the god. Nothing is more rewarding than that, I am telling you.” Said Smoove Desi as we started talking about his journey from Bangladesh to the United States of America.
Smoove Desi is on the rise in the hip-hop world. With his unique flow and clever punchlines, he’s quickly making a name for himself but it’s not just his music that sets him apart from the competition. He moved to the United States during his childhood from one of the most vibrant countries in Asia, Bangladesh and God he knows how to use the cultural elements like the lingo, accent and punchlines from his language in his songs which makes Smoove Desi incredibly original, with a style that is all his own.
Hiphop has become a very competitive genre and it takes more than just talent to succeed in this competitive industry. It takes hard work, dedication, and a little bit of luck. Luckily, Smoove Desi has got all the right ingredients to make it to the top.
Freestyling since the age 12, he always had a knack for understanding the beats and coming up with the right lyrics to match with it. “I still remember being in the middle school and rapping to my friends banging his hands on the desk and making beats. I thought I am pretty good at it and I can make it as my career but I could not do it and therefore, when I have finally got this chance, I am trying to give my 100%.” Said Smoove Desi.
Talking about his debut album Mastani, the rapper said that he feels really grateful to get his songs and creative endeavours out there and fans loving them is just a cherry on top. In 2016, he was shot and music seemed to be far from his mind. Luckily, he decided he had enough and needed to turn back to his true love – music. After spending several months in the studio, the New York City lyricist finally decided to make his debut with his first single titled “Mastani” which got all the fans excited and on board the Smoove Desi train.
Smoove Desi is an artist who is quickly rising to fame because of his unique style that represents his culture, and his songs have been very popular in the United States. Smoove Desi is looking forward to releasing new music for his fans. When asked what kind of music he makes, he replied that he has so many songs in different genres that he doesn’t even know how to label his style. He is just in his own lane – Smoove Desi lane!
