Warner Music Group is undergoing a major leadership reshuffle following the departure of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer Armin Zerza. Zerza has stepped down for personal reasons, with the decision taking effect immediately.
According to Reuters, Lou Dickler, Warner Music Group’s Chief Accounting Officer, has been appointed acting CFO while the company begins a formal search for Zerza’s permanent replacement. Zerza will remain available through the end of Warner Music Group’s fiscal year to support the transition.
Zerza joined Warner Music Group as CFO in May 2025 after previously serving as finance chief at video game company Activision Blizzard. His exit comes a little more than a year after joining the music company and only months after his responsibilities expanded to include the COO position.

The company has now promoted Tom Corson, previously Warner Records’ Co-Chairman and COO, to serve as Chief Operating Officer of Warner Music Group. Corson will report directly to CEO Robert Kyncl as he takes on broader responsibilities across the company’s global operations.
Corson joined Warner Music Group in 2018 and has held several senior leadership positions across the music industry. His promotion provides Warner Music Group with an experienced internal executive as the company works to maintain stability following Zerza’s sudden departure.
The leadership changes divide Zerza’s former responsibilities between Corson, who will oversee operations, and Dickler, who will temporarily manage the company’s financial division. Warner Music Group has not announced when it expects to appoint a permanent CFO.
