Meet VIXXZEN, a rising artist who goes by the handle @theylovin_vixx on Instagram. Originally from Tampa and Brandon, Florida, VIXXZEN has been shaping her sound and story since middle school. What started in the sixth grade as scribbled lines of poetry and song ideas quickly evolved into a deep connection with music that has carried her through some of life’s hardest moments.
Finding Her Voice
For VIXXZEN, music was never just about rhythm or melody. It became a lifeline. Inspired by her emotions and trauma, she discovered that writing and singing were the only real ways she could express herself. The pain, the struggles, and the overwhelming thoughts that weighed on her heart all had a place in her art. Through music, she created something personal, something that belonged only to her.
A Blend of Sounds
Her music moves between RnB, neo soul, and trapsoul, though she is not confined to just those styles. Each track is layered with raw emotion and authenticity, drawing listeners in with both vulnerability and strength. Early on, she played the viola in elementary school, a small introduction to instruments that added depth to her appreciation of sound.
Influences that Shape Her Art
VIXXZEN draws inspiration primarily from powerful women in music. She credits legends like Michel’le, Patti LaBelle, and Whitney Houston for teaching her the timeless power of voice and soul. At the same time, she keeps her ears tuned to today’s artists such as Summer Walker, Doja Cat, Samaria, and Jenevieve, pulling from their influence to craft something fresh and uniquely hers.
Stepping Into the Journey
Although she considers herself still at the beginning of her music journey, VIXXZEN believes her management will help open doors she cannot yet imagine. She is currently working on new songs and continues to build the foundation for what promises to be a powerful career.
Memorable Firsts
The most memorable moment of her career so far was the very first time she stepped into a studio. Accompanied by her uncle, who is also a musician, the experience set a high bar for what she expects from her music.
