Last year, In honor of his 40th birthday, he dropped A, his collaborative project with Zaytoven.
Today the R&B artist shared a picture of himself in the studio sitting next to a white board titled “Confessions 2” and a tracklisting. There appear to be song titles, but they are blurred out.
He simply shared the message “Dis what y’all want?”.
It seems like Usher maybe answering fans’ prayers for a second installment of Confessions. He previously shared a photo of himself in the studio with longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri, who produced the original Confessions.
Confessions was released 15 years ago (March 23, 2004) which sold 1.1 million copies in its first week and won a Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B Album, and spawned some hits including “Caught Up,” “Confessions Part II,” “Burn,” and “Yeah!”.
We’ll have to wait and see if “Confessions 2” does eventually materialize. If it does, it would surely be an epic moment for R&B music.
