Mosez Jones and Jon Rivera return with a bold six-track statement—one built on conviction, contrast, and pure creative defiance. Coming from a city where artistic recognition often hinges on a selective hierarchy, the duo refuses to wait for validation. Instead, they’ve merged their individual visions into a sound that challenges expectations at every turn. They didn’t just force the triangle-shaped block into the square hole—they convinced everyone it belonged there in the first place.
From the opening track, “B.Y.T.M.”, the project pulls listeners into a sonic world that feels like Miguel co-writing during the Yeezus era—soulful, futuristic, experimental, and emotionally raw. Each track amplifies the next, creating a tension-filled cohesion that becomes the heartbeat of the entire project.
The visual identity elevates the experience even further. The cover art mirrors a contemporary Rorschach test—shifting, hypnotic, and open to interpretation. Much like the music itself, it’s abstract yet deeply human, familiar yet new.
Recently, the duo brought Pseudo Tones to life with an immersive listening event at Montreal’s Velours Studio (Tattoo Shop). The space was transformed into a multidimensional art installation, with projections spilling across the walls like living extensions of each song. Fans were invited into the experience—snapping photos, engaging with the visuals, and becoming part of the artwork itself. It was more than a listening party; it was a world entirely built around the project’s vision.
Pseudo Tones is out now.
