It’s a brand new year, and this means it’s time to predict which artists will make their mark in 2024. Continuing our annual Artists To Watch campaign, we’ve sought out the most interesting artists throughout the states. Here is our list:
10. Octavion Davis
Octavion Davis is a hip hop artist from Lansing, Michigan. Known for his nonchalant style and impressive word play, Octavion had a break out year in 2023, releasing viral singles like his “On A Better Path”. He currently lives in Los Angeles and according to him “2024 will be a huge year for (him) and (his) team.
9. YMBeezy
YMBeezy is a rap artist from Roxboro, NC. Growing up in a town known for being one of the poorest cities in the state of North Carolina, YMBeezy had to grow up fast! Beezy began making music while still young, this passion stuck with him up until he became an adult. It wasn’t long before YMBeezy would take a major turn in his music career. In 2022 YMBeezy signed a management deal with HBC Gear and from there his life changed. In 2023 YMBeezy along with Slimarlo released a song with North Carolina trailblazer Baby C! This trio released “Tunnel Vision” a song that would go on to get major attention. This same year the group shot a music video for the single, this video would go on to get viral traction on social media and it’s currently over 15,000 views on YouTube.
8. Crazy 8
Crazy 8 is a hip hop artist with an incredible story. Born and raised in New Jersey, Crazy 8 has had a number of challenges in his lifetime. As a child Crazy 8 knew he was chosen to be nothing less than great! It wasn’t long before Crazy 8 began hanging out in his neighborhood, an area plagued with drugs and violence. While still young Crazy 8 witnessed many of his peers die and go to jail. It wouldn’t be long before Crazy 8 met this same fate. Currently incarcerated, Crazy 8 has made it clear that 2024 would be his year! Already gaining many fans from his life story, Crazy 8 has decided to fully focus on the music. He recently released his single titled “Pure”, this song tells a lot about what Crazy 8’s upbringing and his current view on life. According to Crazy 8 “life alone” inspires his creativity. 8 has made it clear that he is here to “change the vibes” in 2024.
7. Deuce215
Deuce215 is a hip hop artist from the notorious “West Philly”. Growing up in Philadelphia is a challenging experience for anyone, especially a black man; however Deuce beat the odds! Currently Deuce is a military veteran, aspiring entrepreneur, and independent artist with music on all platforms. According to Deuce “I use my background and knowledge about life to relate to all people and hopefully bring everybody together.” Deuce is a multifaceted artist, he records, mixes & masters his own music. He even creates his own cover arts for his songs. Deuce is the true definition of independent! This mentality has helped Deuce to surpass many artists from his city, according to Deuce “there will be a lot of music and visuals dropping in 2024; get ready.”
6. ParriParriParri
ParriParriParri is a hip hop artist who has been making his name ring throughout the recent years. Originally from Baltimore, MD, Parri has made an astounding impact in the music world. Releasing singles like “Nasty”, “Cool” and “WTF”, Parri has proven to have a style that is unmatched. His versatility has captured fans throughout the US and beyond! According to Parri, most of his ambition and hustle is for his family; especially his daughter. Parri also has gained major attention for his stylish merch that he uses to add even more flavor to his brand. To date, Parri has nearly 500,000 streams across all platforms. Without question 2024 will be huge for ParriParriParri!
5. Coogie Boi
Coogie Boi is a hip hop artist who was born in Clinton, NC and raised in Dunn, NC. Early on Coogie Boi experienced a lot in his community, while still young Coogie found a passion for music. According to Coogie, “rappers like Tupac, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne and Eazy E all influenced me to pursue a career as a rap artist”. “I remember nights rapping in the mirror to Lil Wayne song seeing a vision of myself performing live”, Coogie explained. This inspiration would go on to become reality in 2023 when he released “Whole Lotta”. This song would go on to be the breakthrough record for Coogie! The song currently is at over 100k streams across all platforms, the music video has nearly 50K views and it even gained major attention on radio! However, the “Whole Lotta” story doesn’t stop there, it would go on to hit the charts! It was placed at #11 on the iTunes Hip Hop charts! Without question, 2024 will be huge for Coogie Boi!
4. Big Mooky
Big Mooky is a hip hop artist who was raised in Durham, NC. Recently gaining major attention for his distinct style, Big Mooky has become one of the hottest new music artists in the country. Mooky’s unique style led to him creating his own label, “Snakepit Entertainment”. According to Big Mooky this is “a testament to the power of independence in the music industry.” His approach to music is as unique as his background, promising to drop two EPs this year and increasing his performance frequency. Mooky gets inspiration from legendary artists like Mac Miller, Lil Peep, Lil Wayne and Juice World. Big Mooky’s music is more than just sound; it’s a beacon for those who’ve felt marginalized. He aims to convey feelings of being seen, understood, and not alone. His lyrics are a mix of personal experiences, homages to musical influences, and references to 90s pop culture and anime. According to Mooky “2024 will be huge!”
3. 30K Kutthroat
30K Kutthroat is a rap artist from Buffalo, NY. While still young Kutthroat fell in love with hip hop and at the age of 13 years old he began making music. According to Kutthroat, “making music was a therapeutic outlet to get emotions off of (his) chest.” Growing up was tough for Kutthroat, coming from a foster care situation taught him lessons that he would use for life.
Early on Kutthroat would bounce around from New York to Alabama, this showed him the world in his eyes. All of these experiences helped shape the artist we now know as 30K Kutthroat. Rite now Kutthroat is promoting his second project titled “The Slime In Me”. 30K Kutthroat is also the CEO of his label Black Forbes Ent/Young Stoner Life Records. According to 30K Kutthroat, “2024 get ready for more music and way more visuals”.
2. Bigg KC
Bigg KC Official represents Laurel, Florida, specifically, where her family name means “business” and getting profit is the agenda. Although she started singing with gospel, she evolved into her true self at 19 and forged her own path in the music world. A few years of legal troubles, prison time served, and parole only served to strengthen her resolve to share her gifts with the world whenever opportunities presented themselves. And if they didn’t present themselves, she was determined to create them herself. Bigg KC Official’s first official public performance in Tampa, Florida three years ago proved to be the catalyst for her artistic career. Bigg KC Official states that her biggest dream is “to move, inspire and impact people’s lives and moods” on a global scale. Based on the singles and videos she is dropping, that dream is being boldly tracked one musically imprinted step at a time. Indeed, her smile and charisma breaks down walls and creates space for others to be heard while they are yet listening to her fire. She attends community events, shouts out fans, and shows people love everywhere she goes. Humble but fierce is the best way to describe BIGG KC Official! For sure, she will do great things in 2024!
1. GTB KARTEL
GTB Kartel is a rap duo who has an undeniable campaign! Birminghams GTB Kartel consists of GTB Da Gasman and GTB Ball Hard, two brothers who have their own unique style. With trendy tracks like “Take 1,” “Just Got A Bag”, and “J.J. (No Hook)”, they’ve garnered over 500k streams and views in just a few months. Receiving raved recognition so rapidly, the brotherly breakout stars are remaining a force to be reckoned with since stepping into the spotlight. When it comes to the musical brothers, GTB Ball Hard is 5 years older than GTB Da Gasman. With that being said, their lifestyles are very different. GTB Ball Hard began working on music in his early teens, while GTB Gas did not begin working on music until his early twenties. Both were influenced by their older brother. Many passions arose in their early phases such as video games, sports and more recently traveling. The pair has already toured several times performing in states such as Texas, Georgia, New York, Las Vegas, New Jersey and others. Without question GTB Kartel is a dynamic duo ready to dominate the game in 2024!
