Windsor Ontario’s own GerkOne has created and continued to ride his own wave since his reappearance into the hip hop scene in 2020 but this year has been one full of unexpected turns and achievements for this artist.
2022 started out strong with the single “All I Know” hitting all platforms the first minute of the first day of the new year and with only a 21 day gap “Pressure” was added to the roster of hard hitting GerkOne singles sitting proud across all platforms.
February was another double release month for this on fire artist including the single “I’m Back” featuring notable Canadian artist Roney and then taking things across the boarder where GerkOne teamed up with the Detroit legend Tone Tone to bring us “Run Em Down” Throughout the course of the year GerkOne has also attained several sponsorships and engaged in several collaborations with world renowned and upcoming brands alike including names like Crooks N Castles, Drocer, Zamage and Bandana Canada as well as teaming up with several local brands residing in Windsor Ontario.
This year was also the year GerkOne became reacquainted with the spot light and the centre stage. Live performances have been off limits since the return of this artist until recently in Canada due to the pandemic and GerkOne has been taking full advantage by taking stage as frequently as possible. To finish this year off with a bang GerkOne has been hitting us with back to back to back visuals!
February gave rise to the official music video “First Things First” shortly followed up by the anticipated summer smash “The Whole Eight” featuring Mo Slatty. The cherry on this years cake is still to come, on December 23rd GerkOne will unveil his final project of 2022 “My Court” an early Christmas present to fans, this single will be available across all platforms and the official music video will surface in sync on the official GerkOne YouTube channel.
