It was a little unclear whether they would be following up SR3MM with another project specifically designed for Christmas or if we would simply be graced with some fresh singles. It appears as though the latter is correct as both Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi have dropped new music today.
While the songs are only available in select international markets right now, both “Christmas At Swae’s” and “Nothing For Christmas” are expected to hit streaming services tonight. Swae Lee comes through with a smooth effort, singing softly during the chorus and picking up energy in his verse.
Of course, the idea comes from a Christmas carol that went viral last year. His vocals have graced some of the most popular songs of the last few years and now, he’s got his name tapped into a crucial market. Holiday music is usually hit or miss. Swae’s entry is definitely moody as he sings about the cold weather outside and a lady who’s unfortunately not under his mistletoe.
