Jacob Watty is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from South London (Croydon). He has been making music for over 15 years, starting out in gospel choirs, which is where he really found his voice and love for harmony. He grew up listening to a lot of different music, so his sound pulls from everywhere: R&B, pop, soul, and beyond. He is especially influenced by that early-2000s era where songs were melodic, emotional, and timeless, but he always tries to bring a modern edge to it.
He is usually based at Qube Studios, where he is very hands-on with his music, from writing to recording. Being a guitarist as well as a vocalist plays a big part in how he creates, and he likes keeping things organic while still sounding polished. At the core, his music is all about feeling and connection: honest songs, real emotions, and letting the music speak first.
