Raul Garcia also known as “Mason Foreign ” is originally from Brooklyn, New York City. Mason Foreign was born in the popular WoodHull hospital, Brooklyn, which is also nicknamed “Killa Hospital.” According to Mason Foreign, while growing up, he went “back and forth” to Philadelphia as a little boy. Talking about his other nickname “Baby Chapo,” Raul recalls how he got the name from a New Orleans artist he was working with.
As a little boy, Mason Foreign did not only always tell himself that he is a legend, he also believed that he was a legend. He had a strong conviction that he was not just another number in the system. He believed he will become somebody in life. Talking about what motivated him to choose his current career path as an A&R, and entrepreneur, Mason Foreign says that he needed to leave behind visible traces which his kids would use to get to him because he never had the chance to know them as a father.
According to Mason Foreign, what he considers as his biggest accomplishment was being able to give away Christmas gifts to disabled children at a school along with thanksgiving dinners. He did another giveaway in Fulton, Brooklyn, NewYork. He had Fatboysse help him out. His has been showing everyone that fear is just an illusion – it is fake, Mason Foreign wants people to start facing their fear and stop being worried about what is on the other side. Aside from being an A&R and entrepreneur, Mason Foreign enjoys reading, learning new things, experiencing nature, staying educated, listening to affirmations, working out, meditating and just learning about life.
According to him, he wants to get signed-as an official A&R. Mason Foreign wishes to go for the big screen, tvshows commercials, movies, and even become a brand ambassador. In his own words, he says, “anything life throws at me that’s worth catching
