RICHMOND, Va. — Virginia artist Kng Deno is carving out his own lane in hip-hop with the release of his latest single, “KNG” featuring FNF Chop and Jocko Slim. The track, which dropped Sept. 5, has already gained attention thanks to its major feature and a cosign from Atlanta rapper PeeWee Longway.
For Deno, the journey began humbly—in his bathroom, with a $30 mic, a pair of Amazon headphones, and a phone. What started as a playful freestyle session turned into the birth of his unique sound. That sound first caught traction on his single “Bundy”, which continues to resonate with fans.
“I was just recording how I normally would, but I couldn’t really vibe with the beat,” Deno recalled. “So I loosened up and started goofing off and playing around. Next thing you know, I came up with the sound you hear on ‘Bundy.’ It stuck from there.”
Now, with “KNG,” Deno is ready to elevate his artistry and expand his reach. His goal is to build a solid core fan base and community, pushing his music into as many ears and in front of as many eyes as possible.
“I want to gain supporters, create brand awareness, and promote my new single,” Deno said. “The main focus is growth. I know my sound isn’t common—and it’s going to take over.”
Deno’s story is one of persistence and originality. Without a large circle of support—“No family other than Jocko Slim,” he notes—he is determined to make his mark through authenticity and hard work.
