Rapper Cardi B gifts her mum with a house.
It’s been a give and take type of week for Cardi B, who bought a house for her mom as she prepared to go under the knife. The “Bodak Yellow” singer, who gave birth to a daughter, Kulture, earlier this year, shared details of her house-hunting find on her Instagram account.
Buying a special place for her mother had “always been a dream,” the Bronx rapper notes. And thanks to her meteoritic rise through the ranks of the hip-hop world, Cardi could fork out for a dream home. In the accompanying video, Cardi gives us the guided tour of the empty, spacious pad. It’s not so much a house as a mansion.
“Stay down till you come up,” she wrote. “It’s always been a dream to buy my mother a house. Last year I was so thirsty to buy my mom a house but the ones I was interested for her weren’t at my price range.
I worked and worked and now I’m here !! Thank you everybody who supported me to make my childhood dreams come true! Buy my momma a house !!” It sounds as though Cardi is lumped with a fat mortgage. She signed off, “Don’t ask me for shit motherf—ers i got big girls bills.”
That’s the good news. The not-so-good, Cardi is about to undergo “surgery,” which she revealed in a separate cryptic message. “They’re removing all my feelings,” she wrote. “I gotta get them remove before grimey winter.” See below.
Whatever ails her, Cardi won’t get much time to rest-up. She has just been tapped to serve alongside Chance the Rapper and T.I. as a judge for Netflix’s new music competition show, Rhythm + Flow, which will search of the next superstar in hip-hop.
